- a device that allows you to measure both soil acidity and moisture, as well as the intensity of sunlight.
- a very useful device for growing many varieties of plants and vegetables.
- enables pH measurement from 3 to 10 acidity unit.
- no battery required.
Soil moisture measurement:
1. Set the slider to the MOIST measurement position.
2. Place the metal tip of the hygrometer in the ground, at 3/4 of its height (the operation should be performed very gently so as not to damage the meter and the roots of the plant).
3. Measurement of humidity is carried out by probes located on metal tips.
4. After a while, read the value on the scale of the device and refer the indications to the recommended level of soil moisture for a given plant.
Measurement of soil acidity (pH):
1. Set the slider to the acidity measurement (pH) position.
2. Prepare a single sample of the substrate, preferably collected in several places (300 -400 g), removing pebbles, blades of grass, roots, leaves, etc.
3. Then pour the soil into a 0.5 liter jar, add water to make the soil muddy.
4. Wipe the tip of the meter carefully with rough paper or a brush and insert the probe into the prepared ground.
5. Read after 60 seconds on the scale of the device.
Insolation measurement:
1. Set the slider to the irradiation measurement position (LIGHT).
2. Solar values:- low [0-500]- neutral [500-1000]- high [1000-2000]
Additional notes:
1. It is recommended to thoroughly wipe the sensor of the meter with a cloth or a paper towel immediately after the measurement.
2. The device is designed to measure soil moisture and pH only.
3. It is not allowed to put the device directly into water or chemical solutions.
4. Plants should be watered only when the meter readings are lower than recommended. In the case of soil pH regulation - all fertilizers are used in relation to the measurement results.
